Hamster Journal

I took on the challenge of designing an app to transition from traditional paper journaling to a digital platform as part of my project for the UX Research & Design course. One of the key challenges was aligning the app with the initial requirements set by software developers. The app needed to function as a web app while also offering the potential for Progressive Web App (PWA) capabilities, all without the need for traditional login credentials. Moreover, it was essential to retain the essence of traditional journaling within the digital context and emphasize the benefits of the digital transition.

The project's context was to explore the feasibility of digitizing journaling and to assess how this shift would impact the quality and quantity of journal entries. The project was affectionately dubbed 'Hamster' after my group of friends who coined the term, with 'Hamsters' being a playful reference to our close-knit community
